R W Simon, the UKs leading supplier of background ventilators, is sponsoring the Glazing Summit for the second year in a row.
The glazing industry’s must-attend conference returns to Edgbaston Conference Centre, Birmingham, on Tuesday, October 18 – and after last year’s success, R W Simon are back on board.
Lee Manton, General Manager of R W Simon, said: “I attended the very first Glazing Summit in Solihull and last year’s event at Edgbaston was significantly better, so it’s great to see much the event has grown over the years. We found last year very, very useful; the level of delegates was high and very useful to our business, and we are delighted to be sponsoring the event again.”
Among debates and discussions on a wide range of pressing topics, one area of focus will undoubtedly be reflecting on the changes to the building regulations in June.
“Effective background ventilation and the changes to the building regulations, Approved Document F in England and Wales along with the recently issued amendments in Scotland have been a big talking point for the industry this year, and as the implementation period gets ever closer for new-build projects we’re looking forward to discussing it further with our industry leaders,” said Lee.
The North-Devon company has been manufacturing and supplying ventilation and air management systems to the glazing and construction industries for over 50 years – and it provides the most comprehensive selection of aluminium and PVC-u products, including glazed-in, trickle ventilators and louvre systems.
Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit, commented: “It was great to hear R W Simon got a lot out of last year’s event and it’s great to welcome them back on board as one of Europe’s leading suppliers of natural ventilation systems.”
This year’s eagerly anticipated one-day conference is again expected to attract more than more than 400 leaders and will be packed with industry insight and discussion from a host of expert and keynote speakers as well as networking opportunities and the Glazing Summit Dinner in the evening.
