The 2019 Glazing Summit proved so popular that #GS19 was trending on Twitter.
Organised by industry experts Insight Data and Purplex Marketing, the one-day conference at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre attracted almost 350 industry leaders from across the glass and glazing industry.
They heard 25 speakers from some of the industry’s most influential companies, as well as keynotes, discuss some of the biggest issues, including sustainability and recycling, navigating Brexit, fire regulations and accreditations, innovation and smart technology, and tackling the skills shortage.
The Glazing Summit Leaders Dinner then saw 200 VIPs enjoy an evening of fine dining and networking, with after-dinner speaker and Olympic gold medallist Roger Black MBE gaining rapturous applause.
Glazing Summit founder Andrew Scott commented: “We were absolutely delighted with how well the whole day and evening went and for the Glazing Summit to be trending on Twitter speaks volumes.
“It was also great to hear that many people who couldn’t attend the day were following the debates and discussions on Twitter too.
“It shows that a platform for CEOs and business leaders to come together and share ideas, thoughts and opinions on all the biggest industry issues is paramount.
“The Glazing Summit really is the biggest industry conference.”
The Glazing Summit was so well received that it was announced at the end that it will become a regular fixture in the industry calendar, with preparations for 2020 at the same venue already underway.
