Welcome and Opening Remarks
KEYNOTE: Insight Data ‘State of the Industry’ Report
The last 18 months has seen the biggest ever challenges in the window, door and conservatory industry with the impact of Brexit and the Pandemic. Andrew Scott, Managing Director of Insight Data Ltd and renowned industry consultant, reveals the facts and figures of how the industry has fared, discusses the winners and losers and the unexpected trends, and gives his view on the future of the industry.
DEBATE: Conquering the Supply Chain Crisis
The industry is in a strangle-hold with global material shortages, manufacturing delays, and spiralling costs. Tempers are flaring as customers are repeatedly let down while an unexpected surge in demand for home improvements has exasperated the problem. But why are some suppliers doing better than others, and how can the industry resolve quality, delivery and cost issues?

KEYNOTE: The Regulation Minefield: What the Industry Must Know
New regulations are set to change our industry. From U-value revisions and the ramifications of Approved Document L and Document F, to fire regulations in the aftermath of Grenfell. We have the GGF's Senior Technical Officer David Borland outline what it all means for the industry and how every installer, fabricator and glass company will need to prepare.
DEBATE: A Sustainable Future – how will the industry adapt?
Tackling climate change is now centre-stage as the world moves to a sustainable future. But how is the construction industry – and the fenestration sector specifically – responding to both the legislative changes and consumer demand for low-carbon, energy efficient and sustainable solutions for the home? And can the industry step-up to meet the environmental, social and corporate responsibility (ESG) demands that are now becoming the norm across many business sectors?
KEYNOTE: Economic Outlook for the industry
This year Greg Perdon will address Glazing Summit delegates. The American-French Banker and Chief Investment Officer, author and Bloomberg correspondent will share deep insights into the UK construction, housing and home improvement markets. Greg is a globally recognised expert on macroeconomics and monetary policy, hedge funds and investment strategy yet captivates his audience by explaining the complex in ways everyone can understand and apply to their own business.

KEYNOTE: Building a Better Future
Geoff Burch is a self-proclaimed legendary business guru and sales trainer that the Sunday Times dubbed ‘The Hells Angel of Management Consultancy’. His inspirational and impactful message for business owners and managers is delivered in a hilarious, engaging way that will have the entire audience in rip-roaring laughter. Author of 6 best-selling books Geoff is that motivational speaker that everyone in business needs to hear as we rebuild post-Covid-19.
INSTALLER DEBATE: Running a business in uncertain times
Installers are the frontline of our industry. We bring together several firms to share their experience and highlight the tough issues they face – from order-books they can’t fit due to labour shortages, supplier, price-increases months after jobs have been sold, to managing customer expectations in a compensation and social-media culture. We also deep-dive into the latest consumer trends, from high-demand products to online quotes and ordering. Be prepared for some sparks!
DEBATE: Is it time to get out, or scale-up?
The industry is facing its biggest ever shake-up since Covid-19 struck. Big names such as Synseal (Aperture) and Sash UK have collapsed, while corporates such as Customade Group and Everest have phoenixed under a black cloud of pre-pack administrations. Elsewhere, mergers and acquisitions are rife as the industry consolidates, and Private Equity and restructuring firms circle. But is it all bad? At a time when the money markets are flush with cash, we ask how companies can leverage their position to scale-up and grow – or plan their exit or retirement.
Closing Remarks & Networking
The conference finishes with closing remarks from our Founder, Andrew Scott. Delegates can head home or join the speakers for informal networking with refreshments provided.
